Writers Guild of America, East Announces Council Election Results

September 21, 2012
New York – The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) announced the 2012 election results for its Council. For the second year in a row, the Guild utilized online voting which resulted in no invalidated ballots, an issue in previous elections. For the Council, there were 10 open seats: seven Freelance seats and three Staff seats. There were no elections for WGAE Officers this year.
The results were:
- Elected as Freelance members on the Council were: John Auerbach (i), Walter Bernstein (i), Terry George (i), Jenny Lumet, Gina Ginfofriddo (i), Laura Shapiro, and Richard Vetere.
- Elected as Staff members on the Council were: Art Daley (i), Patrick Mason, and Ted Schreiber (i).
All terms begin immediately and run through September 2014.
