Full-time Senior Faculty Position in Writing & Producing for Television – Fall 2019
The Department of Film and Television at Boston University’s College of Communication is seeking a Professor of The Practice in the area of writing and producing for Television with an emphasis on scripted comedy. Qualified applicants will be distinguished practitioners with an international reputation. An advanced degree is preferred and teaching experience at the university level is important.
Duties require teaching three courses (or multiple sections of one course) per semester, at the undergraduate and graduate level. Possible courses would include offerings in the Television writing and producing curriculum. Department faculty are also encouraged to propose and develop new courses in their field of expertise.
Applicants should submit a resume or CV, the names and contact information for three references, and a letter that includes a personal statement on teaching philosophy.
