PBS Contract Ratified

Members of the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) have overwhelmingly ratified the PBS Freelance Agreement.

The vote was 99% yes, with 1,975 members voting yes for the contract and 21 voting no. The contract runs through 2008. It covers writers working on national programming produced by PBS stations WNET, WGBH and KCET, and other signatories.
