The Writers Guild of America East invites you to attend events happening in Los Angeles and online this month.

The calendar below includes information on screenings, panels and committee meetings taking place in June.

RSVPs are required for all events other than screenings. Your Guild membership card is required to attend all screenings. All screenings take place at the Writers Guild Theater (135 S. Doheny Dr., Beverly Hills) and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unless otherwise specified, you can bring up to TWO guests to screenings.

Our mission is to push education, diversity and camaraderie amongst all writers no matter their background. The Committee welcomes all writers because writers work in all genres. Beyond Pronouns: Accurate, Nuanced Gender Reporting

This workshop with Tuck Woodstock explores a variety of strategies for improving gender-related reporting and trans storytelling. While the exact agenda will be determined by a pre-workshop survey* distributed to attendees, we expect that participants will start by expanding their understanding of sex and gender before diving into such topics as story framing, accurate language, trans story tropes, and strategies for equitable workplaces.
