Candidate for Council, Film/TV/Streaming Sector
I am one of the co-founders of The Black Writer’s Salon, and I have advocated for the rights of writers and will continue to do so if elected to the council. I have been fortunate to have worked in the writer’s room and have listened to my peers. I have heard their needs. One being the show development process, in which we often spend months, if not years, working on a project and getting nothing out of it. Development is writing, and we should be compensated for it. I am here to help voice your concerns.
