Members Vote Yes on Screen Credits Rule Change

To Our Fellow Members,

The members of the Writers Guilds East and West have voted to approve the proposal to change the screen credits rules, authorizing the use of an “Additional Literary Material” end credit in feature films. The proposal was approved with a 73% yes vote.

The “Additional Literary Material” credit will be available on projects on which credits become final after December 31, 2021. Information concerning the rule change may be found on each Guild’s website at www.wgaeast.org and www.wga.org. Our committee anticipates issuing guidance concerning implementation of the change before the end of the year.
